Why in the crap do mobo manufactorers not include agp bus where agp bus can be placed why do they force u too find some pc guy and install it for u then pay for mostly the install(or i think..) when the manufactioner could just place the bus there for not too much more money
god i dont even know of a guy who can place an agp bus in my mobo(i got the little metal things just not the bus) within 70 ior 80 miles from where i live and im pretty sure its next to impossible for me to install it myself(but i wouldnt know where to buy one either

n00bs will be shot on spot...
It only gets more logical from here(sigh)

They save a few pence by not including the connector. Just buy a new motherboard it will be cheaper than paying someone to fit a socket.

Next time research your purchase properly. If you want to upgrade later make sure the motherboard has the required slots.

Stop using such big words, especially without spelling them right (belligerent), us rednecks have to look them up to see what they mean.

I can't even think of a motherboard today without AGP, unless its a pci-express. Where did you find such a crappy mobo? And how old is it?

I got it when windows xp was still "new"(2001)

it has soem brown colored bus at the end of my mobo(right next to the bottom of the case) and but what is it, it looks a lot like an agp slot except it is positioned a lot closer to the out side of the case

surely when you buy a motherboard you should research what you need. not knowing what an AGP slot isn't good enough, you should research and find out.

i dont see how anyone could cope in ordering pc parts when they see all the statistics for the piece of kit and not know what they mean... and then just buy any random one.

whoever got it you as an xmas present also should have done some research.

post a photo of the board and then we can identify the slots on it.

or, he could just type "motherboard slots" or something similar on google, and then read descriptions for what they do, and then look in images to see what they look like.
