Hmm... that stinks. What are your specs?

I've tested it on a friends computer, an 800 mHz AMD, and it ran great... but then I tried it on her brother's 1.5 gHz AMD, and it was virtually unplayable. The only real difference aside from the fact that he actually has MORE ram than her is that he has a slightly weaker video card. But he can play HL2 (with low settings) completely smoothly! I'm surprised a simple game like this lags so much.

Anyhow, thanks for giving it a spin!

Damokles: Thanks! I was right about to start making some lamer puzzle game, when the idea popped into my head and took over. Admittedly, its simple, but I just thought it was cool!

GogetaX: Yikes! I have no idea why its playable on some older computers, while some newer computers lag out of control with it. This is a troubling problem.

Runs fast and smooth here nice game and a good idea it works well.
Experienced no lag what so ever.

p4 3.4gh
2gb ddr pc 3200
pci-e radeon x850 xt plat(256)

The only thing that i thing i might have added would be a second camera view either static small window in the top left or right side of the screen. Or a alternate camera view to changed between the two cameras the second camera either from a top down or a bit higher up then the oringial with a sharper pitch down. Cause sometimes the walls get in the way of view if one side gets larger then the other and you don't have enough time to rotate the falling cube to see the whole area to pick a drop spot. Also noticed that pressing the right mouseclick causes the block to fall into the drop position instantly instead of flipping it 180 however the keyboard controls work fine. Overall it is a simple but fun game should do well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I can't believe I mixed up the mouse controls... that totally stinks! Well, hopefully people figure it out... one way or another.

I felt that the keyboard was easier anyway. Thanks for all the suggestions! Although it's too late for the compo, I can always fiddle with it later.

This game is really cool, and a good original idea. At least I've never heard of this "reverse tetris" idea before! The mouse is a little too sensitive for me but I can see how you may want speed later on.

I kept wanting to rotate the blocks 90 degrees to fit certain places. Perhaps adding that in later would be good.

Great job!

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

Thanks for playing! I totally agree with you on the mouse. Perhaps in the future I could add an options menu with a mouse sensitivity setting. It comes down to a trade off between speed and accuracy... I settled for speed. More things to add to the list of improvements!

In DBPro, I'm sure that it uses the windows specified mouse sensitivity, so changing it in control panel should sort it out. I noticed this with scroll wheels as well (I had my scroll wheel set real high so on other PC's my game zooms in too slowly).

I played it yesterday, and it is a very cool game - but extremely difficult!.

Louiz: Yes indeed! My other post mentioned about it.

I'm glad people are enjoying the game... VanB's right though: It's very hard, I know from beta testing experience. The version I submitted to the contest has a readme file that includes my highscore:

70100 points, with 142 stacks

Believe me, this was no easy task... and it was necessary to make sure that all five levels worked right.

I'd be happy to hear other highscores! Good luck!
