not sure if this is in the right forum but i didn't think that it fit anywhere else.

how can you convert a .seq file to a .dat file while preserving all of the data?

Right Clicking does nothing but renaming the file.... it doesnt convert it.

Exactly. There are way too many versions of both of those types. What program made the .seq and what program do you want to use the .dat with?

not sure which program CREATED the seq files. they are used as animatiions for character shop. i got it but now can't use it because it saves the animations in way that dbc can't use. so i was going to convert the seq file to dat so that i could use the append object animation command in dbc to get the same animations in a useful format.
i need the dat file to work with dbc

just looked at the different forms of the seq files.
I think that they were made with Life Forms. But Life forms doesn't support opening seq files.

charactershop is made to apply the animations to your models, so it can't do anything with the animation files(.seq's). When I open them in notepad, I get a bunch of stuff that I can't understand.
