I've been away for a while, but it shouldn't have been too long!
will someone tell me what's wrong with this code!? It should show something...

...but it dosn't! I get so mad when I'm being stupid!

not sure of the syntax but you could try:
1. (If it doesn't matter) position the camera at 0,100,0 instead of 0,-100,0
2. Turn off the matrix wireframe

Hrm, doesn't 100 instead of -100 put me below the matrix?
although, I must admit, that did work. Interesting.

no 100 puts you ABOVE the matrix. when you increase the y value in 3d you go higher.

I'm just starting to get into matrix commands, I've always avoided them before. I know that matrix commands work differently in DBC and DBPro.

Can anyone point me toward a good matrix walkthrough for DBPro?

i haven't even been able to find something like that for DBC. Your best bet is probably to check the help and experiment on your own with matrix commands.
