hey all
im currently working on my new OnlineRPG game.. but this time is much more powerful then other my games..
im making the game with benjamins new multiplayer plugin, called "tempest" plugin.. in this game there will b an auto game saves from the server (the server will auto save the status of the players), so all what u have to do is to write your nick and pass of your character to login to the game and play..
i have decided to take the main character in the game from 3dmax (character studio) becouse with this one i can make good animations and all..
right now in the game, the character can move sided/run(outside the city)/walk(inside the city) and move backward (animations)..
here is a screenshot of the logo i made (this is also the logo that i have puted to my signature in that forums) this is 3dmax work, but the map and the monsters are in the game also

well this is the main player - model that i talked about.. and the ghosts that i made in 3dmax also..

this is the player menu that i working on it right now..

in-game, the camera is with full rotation + smooth
the controls are simple:
Movement: W/A/S/D keys
Camera Rotation: Mouse
Zoom In/Out: Mouse Scrool or +/- keys
Menu: Escape
Chat: Enter, Send msg: Enter, CTRL + Backspace, del all what u wrote, Esc in chatmode to close the chat,

InChat,Type:
/where - will show u your X/Y/Z positions
/who - will show u who is online
/fps - your FPS

actualy what im doing, is making my own scripting system, and with that "languange" that im making in dbpro engine, im making that game.. i have already included over 170 commands to my scripting system.. im planning to make all my games with that system in future..

multisync at the moment u have to get the host to forward all the messages, unless you have a way that i have not tryed. and this will then mean that i will need to get there player number in order to postion there object

Hi all

I tried the small engine test of this game and it look interesting.
I haven't checked entirely but according to GogetaX, all seem to run with scripts.
Player move smoothly and collision are nice. I haven't tested latest demo with Information screen but I think the project seem interesting.

I hope GogetaX will manage to complete his game

Good work and good luck GogetaX

Wow, I like that character status screen. I would comment on the game but for that I would need to download it. So get a download online would you .

I'm not sure what you mean by that. These kind of games aren't amazingy difficult to get going. Its the massively multiplayer ones that are difficult.

good start, played the demo, but as you said on msn you can chat and see the other characters now, haven't tested that version, but is a good progress.

On your Item screen the buttons are hard to read. The font is to small for the their size.

boy, 17 years old.. why?

Quote: "On your Item screen the buttons are hard to read. The font is to small for the their size"

in full screen mode, it will b easyer to read..

i have disided to restart the project and make it the same, but without scripting files.. and here is a reasons why:
1) easy to hack by re-editing the script files
2) in few places, its lil bit annoying to create the scripting files

so i guess ill restart the engine..

anyway, the Single-Player mode, i will give u guys soon to check.. (single player mode, becouse i dont have power to open the server)

well if its easy to hack then we can have our own cheats, come on we can't get good runeScape or R.O.S.E. hacks, at least we would have millions of money and level 99 on Morning online The only online game hacks have worked well with is the online version of Summoner.
And no I'm not a hacker

nothing to do in the game actualy, just check the engine and play with the scripting files that in folder "Data\Scripts"
u will c there an a file formats for the scripting files
.sc = load object + setup object to the engine
.lit = make light + setup light
.mc = menu commands, when u pressing ESC button
.btn = loads 3 button files
.img = loads an image file
.lp = loop commands (everything that can b in game play)
controls.cont = the player controls and animations
.prtcl = particle file, making particle from object
.sprt = making sprite in looping
.fad = attaching an animation for some object
setup.stp = setup file, where all the engine builded..

and all the files, in folder "Data\Files"

enjoy

Great work man!
Loving the game as you already know. Shame about resarting it though. One suggestion, perhaps make the fog less close its a bit too obscuring.

"Mason, why are you wearing Spandex?"

well, against your wishes, I went outside. But didn't cross the stone. THAT LVL IS BIG. I even found this mountain, to my dismay, I found I could climb... until I got stuck that is (I seem to get stuck in a lot of places...) are you going to do something about that fog, or is it basically set. Really hard to go anywhere when you can't see.

only issue is that it looks like things are too big, lots of running = not fun.
