Okay, it's been back for a bit now, but is anyone else as excited as I am about this?

Finally we get to see some good ol' pro hockey again. The players association ended up getting a bum deal in the end, but the fans have been getting an even worse deal without the game for an entire YEAR.

I heard one of the players on the radio complaining that he wasn't making enough money when he wasn't playing. He said that instead of the usual million dollar salary, he was making just $5,000 a month when the game was locked. Just? Just!? Cry me a river

Watch out for the Vancouver Canucks

The Cunucks?!?

Watch out for my hometown Penguins. They won the draft lottery rights to draft Sidney Crosby. With him, Mario, and a few other free agents that are going to want to come play with them, they have a chance to do well this year!

I, for one, wasn't a big fan of NHL hockey BEFORE the lockout. It was broken and needed fixed. Unlike baseball, the owners had the balls to do what it took to fix the sport. I've always been a huge NFL football fan (go STEELERS!) because it is always so competitive. The large markets can't just buy championships. Now, hockey should be similar and I'm excited about it. Adding Crosby to the roster is icing on the cake.
