I need help to make an indefinite bullet coding that dosen't involve creating multiple variables (i.e. x bullets on screen at any given time, or ten per character). Any ideas?

How about just making instant bullets. The player pushes the fire button and a function checks if the player is in sight of bad guys or other players and bam... the bad guy or other player dies or is hurt a bit.
