Mine is also Guinness. I find it particularly nice with vegetable soup, while in an Irish pub by the shore.

Well, the soup does come with bread. I believe it to be a key part of soup.

Then you are not drinking enough laddie. Move onto Vodka or Rum and see the world differently

Personally I would have to say Guiness. Drank that the most over the years. *But* my favourite alco drink is Guiness and black. Thats a Guiness with blackcurrant in it. If they put the blackcurrant in first then the head looks pink, and you really don't want that. I used to be served by this barman who used to change the shamrock sign a lot of barman "draw" into the Guiness head, with a much more disturbing picture that made me feel a little less manly let me tell you. Git. But trust me, tastes like a milkshake and you can drink it all night (until you pass out of course).

Oh, and of course Sheridans. It's the one in the black and white bottle (about 2 thirds is black, 1 third is white). Is like Baileys, but so owns it's a**e. Lovely stuff. Most powerful too.

Oh, and I assume *favourite* is in regard to taste? Otherwise go for dark rum (that 80% stuff you can get imported) or Absynth (banned in a *lot* of countries, and apparently the reason why 50% of french mental patients were there in the first place around 100 years ago). And if they don't leave blank holes in your memory before you are 22, then nothing will.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

1.) Rickards Red beer.
2.) Molson Canadian beer.
3.) Kirin (Japanese beer).

All I can say is I loathe American beer. It's too watery and gives me the fiery runs

Kestrel should be renamed 'I can't believe it's not Petrol'

Can't stand Stella, or being around ppl who are drinking it. Most of the time makes for some mean drunks, which I find defeats the point of getting sloshed.

I like Guiness, but each pub I've been too it's taken some time to get the bar staff to be able to pour it properly. Else it tastes horrible, end up drinking murphey's instead.

Old Peculiar is nice. Never liked Vodka's without something in them.. else it's like drinking aftershave most of the time. Oh god had a truely horrible bottle at christmas I swear it even smelt like a damn aftershave.

Love the Southern Comfort, one of those chillin' with your mates drinks. Amareto is pretty awesome too. Strongbow's a very nice sweet cider, tastes more like a snapps. Have some very nice Apple Snapps here.

Carlsberg and Budwiser are those beers that I tend to drink only once I've been drinking.

I like Bush Mills, very good Irish Wiskey.

Baileys on the rocks. (The only alcohol I like to drink straight.)

Toxic Delight (Sunny D and Vodka tastes like orange juice)
I also add in a small amount of different Schnapps for a twist.
(Prferably a citric juice based one)

I also like to have shots of some of the different schnapps. Blackhouse is good for that. As well as alot of other high proof, high sweetness alcohols but most need a low proof chaser.

My favorite drink of all time was something called: Mojo
I had it in a club on Okinawa, Japan. It was the only time I've ever passed out in a club, but alas I don't know what was in it. Only that it tasted yummy and was pink. I had a puchbowl and a half('bout 12$ worth). I was still drunk the next day, but that was a good weekend adventure.

I don't drink beer. I found one I liked, once, but can't remember which one it was. I had a little too much to drink that night too. I know it had a green bottle. I think it was Irish and had an ashy after taste(likely brewed in wooden drums).

P.S. I still looking for the Mojo recipe and something that mixes well with Dr. Pepper

I like any lagers. Though just back from Italy and was particularly fond of Nastro Azurro (sp?) Southern Comforts quite nice or Vodka and fresh orange ,but ive never been a huge fan of spirits after my 18th many moons ago.

I cant believe its the type of drink thats causes 'mean drunks' If it is someones temprement to be rowdy when drunk then they will do it regardless of brand name.

For most of the year, a nicely chilled Kronenbourg 1664, in an etched glass.

In a beer garden in the Summer, I switch to an over-chilled Sol, with a chunk of lime if served in a bottle.

After a meal, a Sambucca, served with 2 coffee beans, lit.

The missus drinks Guiness and Black, poured through the head, not down the side of the glass (amateurs!). But then she has Irish roots.

As you may have guessed, it's not just what you drink, but how it's served that matters. I may not be a typical Yorksire Bitter drinker, but I still care passionately for my drink.

Agreed with Batvink. I've drank in pubs where a pint of heineken can be about as tasty as a gone off sandwich.

[Edit]: On the topic of different pubs and cocktails, an exclusive one to the pub where I used to work (and actually to a particular barman that works there) was a "duststorm", which consisted of pretty much everything behind the counter in a pint glass. All I know the bottom was green, the top was black and that I drank it through a straw, and from there my memory seems to fail me for some reason

Note: This is not intended to infuriate Guiness drinkers.

I always find that Guiness tastes like cold coffee, yuck!

Home brewed sangria (not sure on the spelling) can be good, as long as the brewer isn't trying to poison you!

I've always wanted to try a strongbow. As they say let the taste do the talking... so.... i worked at a pub once and the bar tender was completely hopeless at pouring a beer... took him 3 goes.

While we're on the topic, when I turned 19 and could get into liquor stores, I used to buy Kahlua Mudslides like they were going out of style.

I still think it's the best tasting alcohol, but it's too dang expensive. I also agree with Fog that sambuca is good too
