Ok I have this menu. It has text an I want that text to be highlighted as if I were going to choose it. I want to do this with the up and down arrow keys.

Can someone explain to me how it is done. Maybe can someone also give me a working snippet of one as an example.

It would be highly appreciated.
Also if someone would help me in msn messanger please tell me because that would be faster and easier.

Get back to me someone.

Thanks

Look into simply just checking the coords of a bitmap, and when its at certain coords then have variables like slot1 and slot2 and have them equal 1 when the bitmap is at different coords, then while slot1=1 then if keystate(whatever)=1 then goto submenu.

?????????
Not really following.
I would look in the tutorials but to be honest they are very bad for teaching someone. They are not very descriptive.

What is a chord? Give an example.
What exactly is a variable? Give an example.
What are you talking about with slots?

I have a question for you. You say you dont have your computer. MSN Messanger works on all computers but only if you have the username and password. Now as far as I can tell you are answering me through a computer. Is it a work computer? If so, are you at work like 24/7 and do you work for Dark basic.

Not trying to be rude or mean so don't take it the wrong way.

Anyways, I am new to the whole game making thing. I have been making websites for a while and its quite a switch. It does seem similer to Scripting for websites.

Post back if you want.
Thanks

BTW: The curser info you gave me on changing my mouse just made my computer freeze when it loaded.

Coord= Coordinates of a bitmap. When you paste an image, you give the x and y coordinates.

A variable, Id hope you had done this in math

x=15

Slots are just placeholders, like variables actually. Im just calling them slot1 and stuff, so when you set them to equal 1, then you can check if the enterkey is pressed so then you can do other operations.

My computer is broken, and I dont have time right now for msn, between going to the gym and stuff. Plus, Im using my parents computer and I can only use it for the internet.

Ill make you a snippet when my computer gets back (probably today)

Just trying to help,

That Curser code you gave me a while back on changing my mouse. Well it doesn't exactly work. It just makes my computer freeze up.

Someone told me that it is a glitch in Dark Basic. I dont know if it is true but maybe you know.

The image does come up but the mouse is inside of it. Then it just freezes.

Thanks For the help
