Why are sprites collecting at the edges of my screen as I scroll?
I have tried to "set sprite" with each of the two parameters on
and off, either or both, etc... I've reloaded the image with
transparency 1 and 0, blah blah...

I must be doing something wrong, no language can have that big a bug,
eh?

Set Sprite won't do anything with position. We'd need to see some code, but the issue will be with the way you are positioning the sprites.

screen shot?
could be a backdrop off problem where sprites are not being erased
after a sync command? but, no code, no shots ... could be anything.
