Hy all..
I have two questions:

1_ Is it possible to export gameSpace's (light or full) scene animations (rendered) to movie files or high resolution images sequences?
Or must I to export each frame of the scene animation and use
Flash or any other program to append all?

2_ What software do you commend to me? I wanna make videos
for my game, but I wanna hear your suggestions first

[edit] I did already think about making them cartoons in Flash, because it would be pretty sweet, but I really want it 3D

Thank you =]

Sadly, even the full version of gameSpace is not intended for rendering 3d videos. You could probably get away with settings up your scene with animation and everything (including the camera) and clicking the "render" button and taking snapshots of each frame, but that's a royal pain in the beehind.

Depending on the level of quality you want in your videos, an option may be trueSpace3.2, which is rather old but free.
What has seemed to work for me in past experiments was to animate a scene in gameSpace, then export it as one huge object. When loading say a mission, load all the mission objects in their regular spots, then load the movie object way the heck off some where in space, move the camera over and play it.

There are many 3d applications that will do what you need them to do, check "The Game Programming Kit for Beginners" thread in the Darkbasic board, there are a lot of programs listed there.

BLENDER!!!! Great for all your CG needs! Its free and can be downlaoded from some website (I can't remeber it right now - something like http://www.blender3d.org) Yes its interface is a bit...well hard to get used to, but just by looking at a few tutorials you'll get the hang of it, I did

BearCDP,

thank you, man =D
I'm attracted for making not that professional, but just high
quality movies for my game.. I didn't know about trueSpace..
I'm gonna check that out.. Would be a problem to just import
my gameSpace models into it =/ Because gameSpace is boneBased
wih geometric deformation.. If I remember well, trueSpace uses
meshes attaching ='[
Anyway.. I'll see what I can do...
Thank you.. =]

[edit] I'll try to do what I'm thinking using Python script..
hmm.. play the scene.. render it frame by frame.. try to get
a screenShot and save it.. oh.. if there is a way to do it,
it is gonna save many time.. Someone said to me that Python
is easy.. I'll check its capabilities..

Dom,
I found the interface a little bit.. a.. "disarrayed"
But I'm gonna study it better.. many thanks.. The Blender's
render is really nice.. Thank you.. =D

Thank you, FROGGIE!..
If you're using TrueSpace 2, as BearCDP gave me warning, there
is TrueSpace 3.2 and it is free, too.. Ok.. I think it is better..

Trying to get gameSpace's scene rendering via Python now..
[edit] oh.. need to see if there is some way to export screenShots
via Python before
