Looking at the Box, Fox News, and there is a bad Plane crash in Toronto, Looks like it was an Air France, and the pilot and co-pilot got out.

Most people survived according to the news.

It was an Airbus A340-300, with anywhere from 200-300 passengers on board during the crash.

Other flights were diverted, probably the pilot trying to make a turnaround time.

I was surprised when they said it was a 340 - usually they are 350 pax. Although iirc the 343 is lower capacity than the larger -500/-600.

Just heard they say all survived?

why would lightning hit a plane?
lightning takes the fastest route to the ground, and if the plane isnt touching ground then it wouldn't need to hit the plane.
