Can I make a suggestion. Next time someone makes on of these threads could you just delete it.
They piss me off. Why post in a forum if you don't want someone to read something? If you do want them to read it why post it with the title Don't Read.
It's not psychology it's just being retarded. Really begining to piss me off seeing all the clutter in General Talk whenever someone gets a new thought in thier head.
Hell even Rich has recently said 'If something isn't on the first page on GT it doesn't count'... THAT'S FROM THE DAMN ADMIN. So why the hell should we expect newbies to even bother using the search facility.
What's even worse is if someone replied to an older thread they get bitched at for reviving dead threads.
Make up your ****ing minds. Either you want them to reply into old threads or you don't. You can't have it both ways. Then you have the admins of a forum who believe that when a forum slows down they obviously need newer technology to cope with the load. BULL-FREAKING-CRAP, the reason a forum slows down is becuase it has to search through hundreds of megabytes of useless BS posts like this which could just be easily avoided if a Culling System was turnned on.
I for one would be happy to see a Cull System implimented to get rid of all the old crap, and have moderators/admins have the power to make a post impervious to culling. That way your only left with the useful threads, and you could easily have a weeding system like there is in the bug forum that you could just instantly drop any of the non-useful threads from your view, so you can easily find the older posts that you found helpful for what you wanted to do.
(yeah like anyone will ever actually create a forum that is actually useful for anything other than pure spamming... oh wait Microsoft did with their Beta/Suggestions Forum)
