guys can you help me on how to display test or animating text while in game... i need this one for my game coz i need some sort of instrubtions on how to play the game taht's why i need to display text or instructions while in game.....

woooops aahhhh cancel that.. i've figured it out too!!!!
but do you know how to erase the background of the tga cuase when i draw a text it includes the white background with it when it displays.......

You need an alpha channel in the tga for the transparency.

Tip : find a default tga pic used for any of the default screen text messages. Copy it somewhere and rename your copy so you dont mess up the original and use the copy to study how the alpha channel works. You will need to open it in a paint program that supports tga with transparency to do that.

ahmmm does fps has a default color for a tranparency?? coz i don't think white is the right one.......

Default transparency colour is black.

Where a pic is located - not off hand I have not looked for those particular text pics myself, my system that runs FPSC is not even switched on at the moment.

Look for any item using a transparency - find its script file - open it in notepad - look to see where the location of its texture is.

Make copies of every thing you touch - and change nothing if you know not what you are doing. Backup first thats best.

yeah i think its black... coz i saw the tga of the text that locked doors popping up...and it's background is black...ok ill try... well thanks again for your help...

null actually, but you have to use the "Alpha Channel" in photoshop, don't ask me, I am not MR. Photoshop.

wait how about setting a script for the keys??? for example pressing the tab keys pops up an instrutions too... is that possible??
