I think cshop is only for characters. To animate "things" you'll probably need something like milkshape.

milkshape has about a month trial but it only costs around $35ish and you can animate anything you build in it...

also it supports x format exporting for DBP

the pix is the face of a pirate that I am working on made with milkshape...I just started the animations of the total body... So for under $40 bucks it's a steal IMHO....

I liked it! The mustache seemes sort of out of place....but I like his eyes! Great job making the pirate Heckno! The only cool thing I've ever made in my Milkshape (of course only a trial, but I'm considering the real deal) was my frog and some of the other characters (hate the chimp though) in my Excelsis game.

Milkshape iv read a lot about this program some good some bad the good is that its easy to use and learn the bad a lot of people are having problems with .x file animations to work in DBPro is there any chance you could put a simple demo together that will run in DBPro for me.I know milkshape isnt expensive but im getting fedup of buying programs that im never going to use

just in case thanks in advance

BTW the mustache dosnt look right but the face looks good

I would make an object, and ask in the 3D forum for someone to animate it... This works, but it takes a lot of memory...

I am soon getting 3D Studio Max 7 soon, can that only be used for creating characters and objects of such or can it be used to do levels too?

hello all again

right instead of strugling with overly complicated modelers i find it so much easy to use cartography shop for making anything i want and after 8 months i have finaly found a way of exporting my models so i can use them in well almost any program i want the easiest is for milkshape thats handy because now i can model in cshop then animate in milkshape cool!!
if there is enough requests then i will put a simple how to (tutorial) together

bye
