I'm thinking you're not gonna build your own pc, correct me if I'm wrong. Also, state how much you are willing to spend. Then I'll be able to help you.

Everything depends on how much money you have to spend on this.

I prefer nVidia graphics cards. Many games seem to have ATI issues. For instance: DBpro used to, and Both SW: Knights of the Old Republic games have problems

(Also, I find your screenname "Need help" quite interesting. Did you make your account just for this thread?)

I am only 17 and just started working so i am not earning alot of money but i needed a new computer badly, my old one was a AMD 1800+ xp, 256megs ddr 2300 (i think), ATI 9000 series 128mb ddr, with a big chunky 17" monitor, and it kept on crashing as soon as i got 1meg broardband, so I decided to get another computer. I now have a P4 3.2ghz 540 LGA 775 with HT technolodgey, 2x 512mb ddr pc3200, total of 1024mb, ATI radeon x600 Pro , 380Gig hard disk, DVD rewriter/rom, and a few other bits and bobs. That came to about £400 and then after a few weeks i got 2 TFT's at about £130 each, and then i got a few more fans, got another liquid cooling processor fan with a controller unti that fits in a CD rom bay, oh yeh and one of them audigy 2 cards, the one with the front panel in the cd rom bay, never use it tho lol. I got all that on http://www.savastore.com good site if you live in the UK

Well, if you're gonna produce high quality games, you'll need a pc that can handle the 3d modelling. Look for dual-core Intel P4 cpus (for instance D 820, ect) because they're pretty cheap and offer good performance for their price and since they're dual-core means you can take advantage of multi-threading which can significantly speed up lightmapping, ect that you do. However, if you're willing to spend $, go for an AMD Athlon X2 64, either 4400+ or 4800+, which can handle extreme 3d creation. You also need a good video card for 3d modelling. I'd go for a nVIDIA Quadro, which have optimized drivers for all the major 3d modellers and lots of horsewpower for the others also. Next, equipt yourself with the fastest RAM you can get, and get at least 1 gig of it. For P4s, look for DDR2 711 RAM, and for AMDs, look for DDR400 with the lowest timings, which OCZ usually has. However, if you need a slightly less expensive pc , tell me your price range and I can spec down a pretty good rig .
