Hello, Im working an vampire rpg (see below for screenshots and more info)

But It runs too slow when I compile it using version 1.12 Enhanced
I did a search and someone said they compiled it in 1.08 and runs just as fast as in darkedit.

Does anyone know where i can get 1.08?

darkedit has nothing to do with the speed, that's merely the IDE. It still uses the same compiler as the default DB IDE. I don't know why an earlier version would run faster than a more recent one.

There would be less code in the compiled version, so it would run faster...

Try upgrading to v 1.13. It might help but I'm not %100 sure.

No - the compiled exe (for whatever reason) has significantly lower fps.

Others have mentioned this too - i did a search - they said 1.08 runs the best - however there may be a few features not supported since it is an earlier version.

Sorry, bud - The only reason I can install 1.08, is because I had a first-edition DarkBASIC CD with 1.08 on it.

You can't downgrade, and someone else distributing the 1.08 version of the compiler would be illegal.

In the meantime, upgrade to 1.13 - There's no excuse not to if you've already got 1.12...

I had this problem too a while ago, exe of MagicWorld made with 1.13 was definately a lot slower than with 1.08, so I uninstalled 1.13, installed 1.08, made new exe then re-upgraded to 1.13
