Im sure you know that the new zelda game is due to come out within a few months. As I am a HUGE Zelda fan, ill problaby preorder it the first chance i get. I was taking a few looks at screenies the other day and woah, were the graphics killer. The one thing that really fascinated me was that its to be 2-3 times longer then ocarina of time. Just woundering if anyone here is as excited as I am bout this return to the series.

If you're so smart, why are you reading my post?

I love the series too... but I didn't get a Game Cube. I wish they'd just bite the bullet and make Zelda for the PS2 too. I know it won't happen but I can dream.

I would die if Zelda went to PS2 . But anyway, the length of the game astounds me. 2-3 times? just thinking about makes me sick with joy. Can't wait for it!

2-3 times as long? That's ridiculous. They must have meant the world was 2-3 times as big.

.....

Quote: " The idea, according to the development team, is to make Twilight Princess the best Zelda game ever created."

That's on the ign article...
What does "D" "U" "M" spell?

If they're going to make it massive an' all that they better not screw it up. Ocarina of Time was wonderful because it didn't try to be anything, but it ended up being something incredible.

My god man! If you want Nintendo games, get a GC! Simple as that

They can't be expected to port it over just for you...

@Sage TEch - I wouldn't call a few months drawing near, bu I too am very excited. Haven't preordered quite yet but I will definatly do so. It looks incredible.

I'm sure there's more than just me that got Nintendos for years then switched to PS2.

Don't they know the more systems a game is on the more profit they get??

Me neither. Got to wait for that special edition/preorder bonus to be anounced first.
By the way. They didn`t say it was 2-3 times longer but 2-3 bigger. As in the world is bigger. That`s why they`re putting emphisis on Eponia. I realy hope they do this one properly. Wind Waker was rushed and suffered from it.

I stand corrected. They did it would be longer. Well they said bigger but they meant longer.

That definitely helps, but you also have to factor in how much each of those many games sell (what if you have a thousand crummy games nobody buys...not making any money there). PS2 and Xbox lost money, whereas Nintendo (ironically, the smallest game library) made money because they've got a good business mind. When they saw GC wasn't selling they dropped it down to nearly dirt cheap ($99 for a brand new current-gen console is cheapest I've heard of), go figure they sold like hotcakes and since they didn't turn it into a powerhouse like Xbox they broke past even.

I'm excited about the face expressions/other communicative animation in the NPCs. Zelda always has the best NPCs.

Reported today on gamasutra.com:

Quote: "In a press release from Nintendo of Europe, it was announced that GameCube title The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has been delayed into 2006 in all territories. The only reason given for the delay was that the development team wanted to “add some incredible new elements” to the game.

Although Nintendo's official statement commented: "GameCube fans will have a variety of Nintendo games to choose from this Christmas, including Mario Smash Football, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness", it's clear that the lack of such a high profile title will affect Nintendo's hardware and software sell-through significantly this holiday season."

I find it a good thing. It means there`s less of chance that it`ll be as rushed as Wind Waker. Though it is getting kind of hard to wait. I`ve never been this desperate to get a game before.

I'm not convinced that Wind Waker was rushed. The Wind Waker is truly an amazing game of very high quality!

Nintendo's so magical, they're usually right on time and their games and polished through and through. Maybe they want two coats of polish for this one.

Cubes are £70 and less, you can even get deals with extra controllers/games for £70 in some decent shops.

They you can get both Zelda game and the other few decent Nintendo only games that are to come in the next few months.

I think Nintendo should develop the next Zelda game for Revo seeing as it will be coming out at the same time as the console. Maybe that's why they have put it back, it would make a great launch title and would be a wise business move...

Aparently they will make a wind waker style Zelda for the revolution aswel. Or at least the producer wants to. I hope they do a cel shading styled one again. Thse graphics were great.

Though wind Waker was rushed. Remember the repeative tri force quest just used as some kind of filler and the end level made up entirely of the other bosses. Not to mention that only 2 of the seals had problems and had to be re sealed or whatever. Why not all 5?

£30 at my local game, they always do things cheap (although animal crossing second hand was £30)

nah I just found bits of it felt a lil childish....and this is coming from the guy who plays animal crossing

I'm only saying childish is a nad thing, because its not what I thought of the Zelda's I played before, well I guess it creates less of a cliche in each one though

Animal Crossing rules! Can't wait for it on DS

Wind Waker was great, I thought. I love when a new game comes out that redefines style.
