I have recently Installed DirectX 9 SDK's upto 9.0c for Visual studio.Net and DevC++. Now i can't Play or loop music in any Dark basic Pro Apps not even the Examples play without very bad distortion.

I've tried Uninstalling the DX SDK's and repairing and reInstalling DBPro but this doesn't fix it.

can anyone help me with this problem?

You could try to update your windows codecs...
Also tell if you're playing .mp3, .wav, ...?

It's both MP3 and WAV music files. And i've already updated codec's through Microsoft update.

The directX SDK's are on Microsoft website, Search under DirectX and SDK.!

If you are referring to windowsupdate.micrsoft.com, I doubt if all the codecs get updated there.

There are some here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htm

But watch out, because all the mess sometimes comes from installing too many or different codecs for the same thing

Sorry didn't have time to try it, I had already Re-installed XP before you put link up to XP codec pack. However i have installed the XP Pack this time and all work's great.

I think it was more than just codec's, it had something to do with dirextX VST audio plugin's aswell. Anyway that will teach me to create regular restore point's!

ThanX again!, at least i'm more prepared this time.
