I need to know if there is a script out there that will not let people link to images on my site? IE someone linking to my background on my site and using it as there own thus everytime that page is viewed it takes my bandwidth away and not theres?

All i really want to do is protect my site from "bandwidth thieves" anyone know of a script?

i do have the option to put web dev on my site but i don't want to right now....

Many(Most) servers have hotlinking protection. Depends on the service providers obviously. Check your admin control panel

or if you want something simple... you could comeup with a hard to break javascript algorithm and encrypt your source code and disable right click. Then just have javascript turn the encrypted info to unencrypted, and all you will see is the enrypted source code and js commands. Not many people would be willing to go through all the trouble of reversing the javascript just to get an image.

The only problem is, people with javascript disabled will get a blank page.

Theres a trick to beat the "Disabled right clicking" most of the time anyway. Left click and right click at the same time...

With Internet Explorer all you have to do is move the mouse over the picture, wait a bit, and a menu shows up to allow you to save the picture... without a right mouseclick.

nope i just decided i'd et up htaccess though my provider. Now i am also making a Darkbasic site as well tell me what you guys think so far.

http://dbworlds.darkuniverse.net

its not even close to finished yet but ima be putting up the tutorial page later on today and probably some other pages too. Everything will probably be navigated though a Iframe....rom the navigation menu i picked up at Dynamic drive or whatever its called LOL =).

My host also has web dev which is sopost to stop hotlinknig and other things. Only problem is once i turn the folder into a web dev folder i can't access it though FTP =\ so i just setup htaccess with my provider and poof it works LOL.
