Anyone who uses AOL was told there connection speed will be doubled for free. My friend was on 512Kb per second... and now is 1MB per second. My connection speed is still 1MBps. Has any1 elses connection speed not been upgraded by AOL even though they said they would? Its a month late.

AOLs lowest Broadband speed (on thier site alteast) is 1Mb
I'd say that the problem is actually they've not updated your local exchange yet.

@Raven. Yeh that might be it. However AOL did say the Update would be done by July. My Internet has been cutting off occasionaly. Does this mean AOL is trying to Update the connection?

NTL told customers that in March 2004 they would be updated.
Took them until August 2004 to make good on the promise.

However other areas did have the upgrade. Just like this one we got back in April was done in my area as one of the first, yet other has to wait. Just a cause of they can't update the whole network, and AOL have far more customers.

Be patient.

huh! as a loyal current user of wanadoo they sent me a mail telling me it would cost me £27 to get 2mb/s upgrade from my current 1mb/s, on the website they advertise free 2mb/s for new users, I have had nothing but grief since I went broadband, I will be switching to some other ISP when the contract ends for sure, and to add insult to injury they sent a mail telling me I would be disconnected if I didn`t reduce my usage or upgrade my account, I`m on 30gig max now, they don`t do anything higher , and most of the excess usage was from repeatedly trying to download stuff when the connection was playing up and the files kept getting corrupted.
it used to disconnect up to 30 times a day for the first 3 months, I had a major fight to get the call center idiots to do anything about it too, don`t get me started on wanadoo, they obviously have someone else running the 56k service, I never had problems with the anytime account, but whoevers running the broadband side of things hasn`t a sodding clue.

Thanks for moving this THread whoever did..... In all fairness AOL is ok... its just a lot of the time it complicates things. IT has its own settings or something.... A router is a real bugger to set up believe me.

yeah most of yesterday I was getting the look right.
Sill need to get the top-down menu showing properly, and be able to be hidden.

Shouldn't take long for the hidden DIV tag, but will take a while to get the tab system working. Unfortunatle while I work on the site I can't work on content, but if I work on content I'll have no where to put it.

Today is work on the News, Image and Log-in (admin/team only) system. Then perhaps some content. Really want to work on the computers cause I've been concepting them for the last 2 days in my head. They're going to look and react to the players.

Also need to figure out what Windows will look like in 40years time. ^_^ Should be interesting if anyone agrees with the results.
