teamed up a little while back with frontier to make the rct games and atari but anyway who do you thinks better atari or frontier? or both?

Well, considering Atari is a publisher mainly now, and Frontier is the developer, through a long system of equations I have come to the the conclusion that you have no idea how it all works.

That said, Frontier only developed the 3rd RCT game. The other 2 were developed by Micropose, and then Chris Sawyers personal dev house.

RCT? As in Roller Coaster Tycoon?
Was I've seen Fontiers recent market presence has been just pathetic.

I never even knew they'd worked with Atari as thier publisher for that, or developed it. The only good game to come out of Frontier is Elite, and they're now taking the piss getting Elite 4 out.

we're up to 15years of development now, and still not even seeing anything to do with the actual bloody game. Last game I knew they worked on was 'A Dogs Life' which was just crap. Most of the games around here have more gameplay and fun in them.

By the time they finally get Elite 4 out, no one is even going to bloody remember it! Or we'll all be trying to explain to our children why it was a cult classic back when we were young, no doubt to some retort like 'you mean when Dinosaurs ran Dell?'

Hmmm which are better. Hmmm. Hard one that. Oh, ang on, thats right, I don't give a monkeys which are better. I mean who cares? God, this may be the general forum, but do we really have to have such amazingly tedious and useless topics? I mean really?

Go back to 1989 and have a much less trivial argument about STs (Atari) versus Amigas (Commodore). At least thats when you would find me (illegally) down the pub having a "heated debate".

I think Benjamin's original comment pretty much sums up the brain power needed for this one.

Don't complain, at least they tried to do something new.

I'd take A Dogs Life over another FPS, any day.

And another thing-- Atari pretty much sucks nowadays anyhow. They seem to only re-publish their retro classics ad infinitum, and their new published games are craptastic colossal failures liver Driv3r.

The Matrix? Hello, are you feeling okay? And you can't name games that haven't been released yet. Did you also notice all the sequels in that list? Like I said, craptastic. You really know a game designer has run out of ideas when they start producing sequels.

Many sequels are great, i.e. HL2, but the majority are crap.
