well the spelling isn't very good, neither is the content.
Didn't bother to check the rest of the pages because i was pretty sure they were going to be about the fact your site isn't completed.

on a brighter note, good start!

Isn't piczo.com that free website thing, where you design a website by drag & drop?!

Also, the adverts are everywhere...
This seems more like your average nüb's attempt at a 'My DarkBASIC Team' website than a community site, anyway...

NOT EVEN MENTIONING the fact that you have advertised your website in the wrong forum. Your website has NOTHING ON IT.

Every nüb has done this already. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, demoralized the authors. Now go home already.

(P.s. On the 'current projects' page (which has no content), construction actually has an 'o', not two 'u's.)

FXGAMER,

blanky is right in his words(however, a little too fanatical and rude towards you), that it is best not to present your site until it is complete. Hold patience close, that is, until you have prepared your projects fully, and then surprise everyone with your finnished project. On the flipside, if you are wanting others to monitor the progress of your site, then post it in the Work In Progress(WIP) board.

Just remember, it is not a good thing to present an unfinnished project, that is meant to be presented only after it has been completed.

On a note about your site, the homepage's color scheme is a bit rough on the eyes. The darker blue background collides with the foreground letters, and is a bit confusing to the mind. If you wish to, check out the Color Theory website. Which, will teach you many great and important theories about attracting and distracting the mind through color.

If you dont have anything to show, why even bothering get a website? If you are desperate to have one, downlaod the free editor NVU, great, useful and easy to use. Some points:

Switch hoster. You can get a freewebs account, and then get a www.yourname.cjb.net url.

Change the background color.

Change the colors on the menu, before my eyes turn into a pool of slime

Get a free web-template. There are many, and they look good (well, most of them)

Spelling, i can see about four spelling errors on the main page.

Never release a website until it is finished. That makes people think that the website have been down for years, and they'll never return.

Spend one hour some day, and fix these points. Then, you'll be at good way to create a nice and clean website.

It took me about a year to get my website completed. I'm still posting up new stuff almost daily but I made sure the color scheme was good, and I had enough content to keep the user entertained. Alhtough I still don't have a whole lot of content. visit my website and maybe you can get ideas from it. Please note: It still isn't touched up. I still need a few things done to it. Even though I've had it up for almost 1 year!

I'm already using Firefox which has a built-in pop-up stopper as well as a stand-alone pop-up stopper.

That's why I hate the CasaleMedia.com pop-ups - some of them use some sort of script which can by-pass everything I have installed.

I strangely didn't get any pop-ups and I visited his site 3 times! I don't have any blockers or anything---maybe its because my computer is a 98!

Also, you can change any of your domain names to .tk. For example, if you have a site www.myname.us.tri.mt.net.com or something, I wouldn't expect users to input that everytime! I would (and have) sign up for www.dot.tk, which, you create a domain at, and it links to your existing one FREE! One catch though! There is pop-up when you first enter the site - from there on, no more ads! (Go to http://www.slayerbattletanks.tk for an example)

I could tell you to wait until you have progress on the site, but you're probably sick of hearing that.
I've got a friendly suggestion to make instead. The background color is a little too jarring, and the text (mainly the red menu text) is a real strain to read. People's eyes should be able to glaze over your site with no strain at all.

A GREAT free webhost that hosts unlimited file sizes, has 10 gb of bandwidth, and has 1 gb of webspace, is www.stonerocket.net . iT is great! If you want a good webhost they don't even add ads. You can use PHP and all those other great things (I don't think you can use Java but thats alright with me).

I'm looking for a new free website host. Email me if you know of a good one without ads! [email protected]
