I have a new account now. I was instructed to do this by a TGC support person. Rich, would you please ban my old account? I changed the name to "Invalid Account" This post might not show up for a few hours, as I realize that I'm probably being noob slapped right now.

Thanks

Don't need to ban the old one, do we?

If you really want us to, you can give me a link to a topic you posted in while with your old account.

Rich is moving house atm and so he won't be able to take your off moderation until he finished and gets net access

Actually I find having two accounts more flexible. You can have the two accounts have different names (as I do) and use one account for all your ordering and more influential posts, and use the other account for more amonimity when at school/library/etc. Then no one will be able to trace one account with the other.

they put up rules to be followed, why not try following them?

I know I know, but was there really any harm in posting a smiley (in this specific post)? Might I remind you that the amount of useless rule-breaking threads at the moment is much worse than the dangerous smiley-plague.

Enough, enough. We all see now. I've edited my second post above. Now let this thread resume in its past direction:

Quote: "Nobody will ever know the difference"

Except one joined in 2005, one joined in 2003 The ideal method would be to create 2 accounts on the same day and copy all the settings and data over.

True, but who cares? Anybody says that I'm a noob, and I'll post on the old account and ask them if they really think so And how was I supposed to know that I'd need a second account?

P.S. - Hey guys, this is a thread for Rich to see whenever he comes back, not a thread for posting smily-only messages, right?

Use spaces, html doesn't render them but they're different according to the db

It's easy, I've been doing it for ages

Yeah I know, it works for the "too many characters problem" for ages. After it says I need to add spaces if I want to have that many characters in my name, I just add a space afterwards... Sad
