Hello Folks!
After a brief lack of absence I'm back on this forum with an upcoming brand new game! And a new website, too, with all of my Freeware games available for you!
http://www.maskedbear.com
This new game it's a Freeware complete side-scroller; I'm now finishing it and at the same time working on a bigger, baddier and greater (and completely new) Shareware or commercial version of it.
It will be ready on September, I guess.

Features:
- 5 complete levels
- 8 weapons (with the devastating Ring fire! you'll see it!)
- 2 Big,Big,Big Bad Bosses
- Tons of enemies
- All ships are 3D models in action in a side-scroller!

Coming Soon!
Alex

@DBAlex: I was contacted by a commercial proposal (only for Italian market) for my games, so I dedicated to this. I'm now developing a commercial version of this side-scroller, with enhanced gfx, engine and gameplay. It will be distribuited in Italy only as low-cost package version and as shareware directly by me worldwide.
But, as the compo version was not yet finished I thought, why not to complete it anyway as freeware ? To late for the compo, but It would have been a shame to leave it in cellar.
Btw, I've seen at Ongamedev that all of the partecipants got a prize!
Congrats! I saw your game was unfinished, are you finishing it ?

Umm, Not really, The code is way too messy to even try and edit. Im thinking of making a Monster Chase 2 though, Or maybe just a totally new deathmatch game.

Also im trying to learn C++ and DirectDraw, Its working out quite easy, so I might also work on a 2D Shooter using DirectDraw... If you want the name of the book im using its called "Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus" and it is totally awesome!

I didnt think it was really for beginners but it is, and is one of the best books for begginners imho. It includes lots of examples that remind me of DarkBASIC! LOL!

Also im trying to learn Linux programming, Although that is proving more difficult .

Anyway good luck with the software deal. Hope it all works out.

And keep developing the shooter, Id love to play it.
