At first glimpse you will think this is a useless advert...
It probably is, but I'm looking for moderators in the Darkbasic Forum.

Basically, the Clownpaint.com Forum is very general, it is designed to cover almost every topic I, and you, perhaps will encounter in ever day life. Darkbasic has it's own forum under programming, currently we have Hawkeye on there. I want to make it a really good place to post your stuff and get it out to users who don't just use DBP/DBC, but anyone interested in computer games.

It isn't designed to compete with this forum in any way, that isn't
really a feasible task, it is there as a second resource to you guys. If you're interested in being a moderator email admin@clownpaint.com

Ah, but there's a mod tryout sort of thing...

The forums really cover every topic you could think of, so what if it's a little empty at the moment in various subforums, the point is that it's growing

Thanks, got two people signed up from here already! The response has been excellent to the adverts I've put out lately in various places, any more DBP or DBC are free to sign up.

NOTE: There aren't many moderator spaces left.

Isn't this why General Talk was invented?

So people can talk about any topic?

Yes, so I guess we can all continue talking about talking about any topic, can't we then . I see your point though.

It's generally all jumbled and un-organised though, see what I did there? oh yeah.

The idea is, if you want to talk about cars you will stroll into the cars forum, if you want to listen to some new music you can go and listen to what others have posted in the music forum.

It's basically most things people ask about divided into categories so you can ask, find or read about what you want easily. There will be a website to accompany it (better than the current one) and a shop eventually. But that could be anything up to a year away. There will be rewards for loyal users once we start selling products, I know that much.

You can't create every topic in the world.

Ok, in that case I'm not visiting your forums untill you add Animals, Martial Arts and Cooking sections.

See what I mean?

Anyway Clownpaint, if I wanted a Cars forum I would go to a Cars forum. If I wanted a football forum, I would just find a populated forum of rednecks raving about football. You can't please everyone with one forum.

But you're losing out on all the potential visitors who wish to discuss methods to fry rabbit.

The description I whipped up on this site in my original post is slightly innacurate. The forum isn't designed to cover every topic known to man and then some. It is quite computer/internet oriented but covers many other areas as well.

Isn't that what he already does here?!

Look how he's been posting in this topic alone.

This forum is a good idea, and who knows, you might enjoy it, but you have to make up your own mind, will I get a nose bleed if I try another forum, or will it be safe.
On a serious note, there is a DB section, that needs kick starting, come on any ideas.
OK, i'll shut up now.

I hate it when I'm not bothered but people think I am, that's when I start to get bothered. Don't make me angry, you won't Like mE whEn IM ANGRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Nah, seriously. The forum could be better than it is now, basically with more users posting. I'm happy with the subjects covered at the moment. Right now the forum isn't aimed at anything in particular, once the website is done (some time in 2006 I expect) the forum will take more of a direction. My goal is to be on a dedicated server, anything is possible then. I want the site to give you more than your average website/forum does, but for it to work it has to start growing now for the future.
