And that was to the UK? Seriously doubt it. Plus even if it was amazingly free, then we would still get shipping taxes from our government. As I said, land of taxes over here.
Quote: "Trust me, there are ways to find things cheap"
Trust me. My work covers online shopping (holidays). I haven't shopped in a shop for anything less than £20 in ages. Apart from Blockbuster that now and again does deals amazingly cheaply (rarely as cheap as places like play, CD-Wow, even Amazon, but sometimes). My latest LCD monitor took quite a while to source. Quite suprisingly turned out to be Dell. But nothing else at the time came close (money wise) for sheer size (20.3"), resolution (1600x1200), and update speed (16ms). Also had really good online reviews (Best monitor of 2004 type reviews). Good olde Dell deal, and was pretty cheap (for the UK).
Also my last laptop was through Dell Outlet. Not second hand, but orders that were cancelled. They then refurbish them to make sure they are ok and then put them on the Outlet. Downside is you don't get much choice on the config (already made). Upside is you get it very quickly (already made). I had no problems with mine, and at the time was pretty much cutting edge (gotta love that 1920x1200 res). Got it for almost half price. Major downside with the outlet is that you have to watch it like a hawk for days and days and days (can't write a script as the URL changes randomly every X minutes). I got a sweet deal, and my friend got the same computer with a few extras for about the same price. Seems to be that 99% of the deals are okish, then they get a YTS person or something, and they ring up like 50% off. Lasts for about 5 minutes on a good deal before it's gone, so you have to at least get it in the basket (lasts 15 mins I believe) to think about it.
Dealtime and Kelkoo are good.
Cheers
I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing
