i'm currently making an animation program because there seems to be a lack of free programs that can create dbc compatible animations. i've hit a slight problem though: if i use the set object frame command it won't let me offset or rotate limbs afterwards. does anyone know any way of making it possible to edit limbs after using the set object frame command?

This is not possible. Unless you use the set object frame command again after the offste-rotate limbs commands are used.

i'll try that but i think it will reset the limbs position to that of the frame entered not to the rotated/moved position

This is just an idea though. But maybe play object id,frame, frame will work? frame and frame has to be the same number...

I was looking in the help files and I found this:

set object frame id,frame is used to SET the object to a specified frame.
set object keyframe id,frame is used to STORE the object to a specified frame.
