Hello,

As you've seen by the title of this post, I will not be posting here anymore as I do not fit in to this community.

I'm going to make a little game out of this.

I want everybody from this community to post a farewell message whether it's "Good riddance!" or some other rude dismissal.

Remember: "Be creative"

God Bless you all, ...

Peace

See you next week then.

I'm sorry if I'm cynical but you get loads of these goodbye topics, people hoping to go out with a bang, whether it's "goodbye I am appalled by the customer service" or "I'm never posting here again if I'm going to be ridiculed" it always ends up the same way. They come back.

So I say jump the gun. I for one have never heard of you, so you mustn't be that much of a misfit If you continue posting and being polite and courteous I'm sure you'll fit in soon enough

This is a vicious circle...
Posting a topic like this is done for the attention.
Yet in order to see what attention you get you need to check back.
If you check back then eventually your going to break and post again.

Very few people have strong enough will to actually view something and not reply.

I hardly ever post, but I often read this forum. I am only really posting now to see if I am noobie slapped like this other "inactive" person. That and the custom text url links...

Oh, yeah this thread isi't about me, so to provent this from being a real thread jacking I suppose I need to say goodbye.

Goodbye vid1987. Have fun wherever you go, even if its back here.

Edit: Link didn't work because I frogot to close the url tag, oops.

vid1987,

Wipe your fake tears and the nonsense from your mind. Grow up, and learn to bridle your dumb thoughts. As a note of wisdom, pure attention from hard work and quietness, is more glorious than the attention you are recieving.

Pah, he's at that age where drinking and 'doing life' is more important that making games.

Once you get a job and need something to take the tedium away you'll find yourself drawn back to hobbyist coding - once you've made games, using a PC for anything less feels like a waste .

Van B,

That is definetly some good wise words. I'm still early in the stages of marriage so when my wife is home with me and I try to get on the computer when she's awake it's guaranteed that after 10-15 minutes she'll start bugging me. But...when she sleeps, and when I'm at work, it's coding time!

I'm not doing this for attention... I'm mainly leaving because I'm going off to college.. and because a lot of you (not pointing any fingers) are either self-absorbed, or just get a kick out of flaming/bashing others. Face it... this whole community has gone to hell. every time someone asks a question they either get mocked or laughed at... (EVEN BY THE MODS!)

Thank you, everyone who has helped me make programs and has been nice to me. DarkBASIC really helped me a lot.. I think I'm ready for C++

And yes, I might jump on occasionally (maybe once a month or so)

Bah, I find that insulting..
Making games is way more important.

Mods: Go ahead and lock this thread. I really don't even know why I started it.

Anyways, I'm going to go learn some more Java.

Peace

If you're just heading off to college now, and think making games is fun...you are going to discover a whole other world of fun at college.

Drinking, girls, and "hooking-up". Enjoy it while you can!
