Haven't seen it in a long time, but if I remember correctly, it's Lee. He's from Lancashire in the UK, and has a very strong Lancastrian accent.

One day he may see the light and spend his TGC fortunes on a nice pad on the best side of the Pennines, in Yorkshire

Guy Savoie (code monkey who wrote the IDE and subsequently disappeared) does the voiceovers for the IDE videos - he's American. The 5-clicks one is Lee.

Only British people can do that - as Dick Van Dyke will attest...

I don't know about that. I took acting in college. For one project my partner and I used a British accent. After it was over the teacher reviewed our mini-play. He praised me for my "true" British accent. I told him thanks and added that I mearly watched Mary Poppins about 30 times to immitate Dick Van Dyke. Needless to say the teacher was pissed... I guess he didn't think Dick Van Dyke was a good role model. That teacher was a very pompous guy anyway.

Yeah. A friend of mine mentioned it in Britishland and he disappeared never to be seen again. I also hear they practice tribal rituals when the moon is full

Reminds me of my buddy who, because my ethnic origin is Danish, asked me what country they're from. "Danishland? So wouldn't you be Danishlandish?"

The scary part is he was serious. I live in a town (Abbotsford) that consists of 95% dutch farmers, 4% east Indian farmers, and 1% miscellaneous :-P Sheltered.

I certainly wouldn't think so... He gets (or used to anyway) continually moaned at about his accent in the film.

Its like Hollywood always wants to present London in the early part of the century as completely covered in smog...
And dont get me started on U-571...

Aah, of course, Jensen would be Danish Whenever I've seen it written I've mentally said it as "jhensen" instead of "yensen".

IIRC, Mike Myers ancestors were British. Scottish to be more precise.

Austin Powers is only a take on the 1960s "BBC English" of the James Bond films. We don't actually talk like that, honest! It would be like saying all Americans say "Gee, Swell" after every sentence.

Likewise, only a small percentage of Brits speak like Lee

And even less speak like me
