convert it into a jpg file then turn it into a sprite. I sugest that you use the commands screen height() and screen width() to center the crosshair

Just make the image background BLACK not white and use:

PASTE IMAGE Image Number, X, Y, 1

The 1 on the end tells DB to not paint any black pixels to the screen.

Dont EVER Use jpg for transparency....use .png

Open up whatever you use for a paint program (I use PSP) and have no background layer, maybe your crosshair and when you export, make sure you check 'Interpolation' I think is the word. Then load your PNG and use it as a sprite.

it's true ^^ i agreed too but i've been using Gimp for a while and it makes .Jpg files looks very perfectly, not like the common ones, so i don't use .PNG for a while because it can become a very big file. For images for DB and this stuffs I normally use .TGA files, because of the quality and can be codify.

yea, i think it's bigger but because of the encription of the picture, is more safe if you don't want your media being included on other game ^^
