Just back from the local PC place, and the hard drive is toast.

Hoping to get backups from various places now.
[EDIT] - Yep, got one from July - everything back under way...

Does the PC beep at all when it starts up?

Also, have you tried altering your boot device priority recently? It sounds as if your having some kind of drive/IDE related problem. What was the last alteration you made?

(as it states - check cable)




EDIT: I just found this;

Has the little Slave/Master plastic block thing fallen off the back of your Hard drive/moved? (mine did this recently.)
