Non Official Company Owner,
I said i would help you. But i am not going to write the whole game for you. Why don't you start the game or show us what you have done. Then when you need help I will help you and so will most people on this forum.

Even if you can just get a cube to move around a matrix, and then ask for advice what to do next. People what to see you are at least making an effort.

Also people don't want to join a project which hasn't even got one line of code or no planning or documentation.

Hmmm,
Are you talking about making your pong game into a sort of RPG game like you said on your old thread or is this a totally different project???

Yeah if you want someone to buy your game i would at least have some screenshots on your site otherwise they won't know what they are buying.

Plus from what i have seen from your pong game one your old thread i would say its not nearly of good enough quality to sell. Sorry for being brutally honest but it just looks like the chris k's pong tutorial but with boxes.

I'm sorry, Non Official Company Owner, but as far as I can see - that's an uneven distribution of tasks.

You're asking Jozers (who kindly offered to help) to make an entire RPG, with characters, movement, a world, NPCs, etc etc etc.

While you work on your Pong? (That seems to be mostly from the tutorials, and you charge for on your site.)

This seems quite unfair.

Jozers may not see it like this, but don't you think you're giving him all the hard work?

Sorry to tell you, but people like you piss me off. If you dont know how to make an rpg - THEN LEARN! NOT everyone here knows how to make an rpg, but at least they are LEARNING. It's really a dumb deal - "Hey I making pong, I dont know how to make the rpg part, so can you do it? Yeah, it'll only tke about 15 minutes, so no bid deal."

Don't you EVER mention the letters 'rpg' before you've gotten hold of a good concept of programming. It's sooo soo SOOO much harder then you think. Every new comer thinks "Oh this can make 3d! And there, it says rpg! Yes, by about 1 month I'll be selling my MMORPG and making a big profit!" - wrong. Dead wrong.

Sorry for being so harsh, I just couldn't tolerate it anymore.

Oh - and keep doing better in learning DB.

Non Official Company Owner: You can make an rpg with DB. You can even make it so that you challenge people to games of pong (which is a nice little idea, you should keep it).

You can even learn how to do it here - but start with small steps. Do the Monster Hunt tutorial and learn how to do First Person perspective, landscapes, collision. All of this will help you.

Think about the smallest version of your RPG you could make (one NPC in a room that you talk to and challenge?) and try to make that first. Even if you have massive, multiplayer, huuuuge quests and millions of races/jobs etc - start small.

I admit that I dislike people who want everyone else to do the hard work. Hopefully you've learnt that that's not the way to do it.

You can make your rpg - but it will require a lot of effort, a lot of time, and a lot of learning Asking people to do it for you will only make you enemies.

Nicely Put. Yah, you should definately learn DB more. I has taken me about a year and I am just now getting into 3d. Although, I was really just playing around with different commands until I knew them by memory.
