I will start on monday.

I told my mom that I don't want to go to school, because everybody hates me there.
She answered that I had to go, because I'm the teacher.

Started school today here. The school got brand new computers for some of the computer labs, and the rest of the classrooms got some cheap laptops.

Whats worse is, with the new computers, if you turn more than two on at the same time in the same room, because of the horrible wiring, a circuit is supposed to blow. Rendering most of the computer labs worthless

Which means until this problem is fixed, I'm not going to be doing much for first period...

my school is getting studio 8 and some people are saying that we are getting new computer in all of the labs but the class rooms are keeping the computer from 2 years ago which are still good for what we are doing. Me and my one computer teacher are trying to put together a game dev class for next year, if it all works out we will be learning basic C++ but will be programming mostly in DBP. We will also be using Maya for modeling and maybe 3d world studio for mapping. It will be a two part course and will just rock but we are not shore we will be able to put it together for next year.

Im in my first week of school. Just graduated from high school this year and college is pretty sweet. Get to live on my own(/with peers) get to go where I want, do what I want, when I want. I have been waiting to get high school over with for four long years and now im finally there. I have two roommates but we built a loft with 3 beds like right next to the cieling so our room has tons of space and we have one of the biggest rooms . The only hard thing about college is being motivated to get up at 7:30am(in my case) and get to class. So very hard, but in the end it is worth it. Afterall, I am paying(and government) about $17,000/yr for it, so I am damn well going to make the best of it. Yea, college is really cool, and im about a 10hr car drive away from my parents, so im not worried about them just "stopping by". Im only about 40mins away from the northern most part of Michigan . Scary though, I almost didn't make it. I didn't have my funds figured out until the night before I cam up here . w00t! Go School!

tip: don't slack off your senior year. It's what I did and I just barely made it to school, had to enter with a technology major rather than CS and hopefully switch after the semester. It's a waste of time and money to do poor in high school(wish i would have known), good luck on making it through

I've seen seniors slack off so bad. They simply think they don't have to work. TSome fail really really easy classes. This year(sophomore) is going to be hard for me since I am taking 4 Honors Classes. Can't wait to get to college.

Pfft... Four Honors classes my ass. I'm doing 5 honors and one Pre-Ap.

And I'm better at webdesign then my teacher. He said that PHP is college level and too complex for highschoolers.

Meh.

Well PHP is often a required college class for anyone in any computer/internet related major, but to say that it is out of the scope of a high schooler is insane. I have seen many many MIDDLE schoolers who are able to write PHP damn well. Tell your teacher to shove it (well maybe not, just a thought).

Im guessing your teacher did not get a degree in what he is teaching? Probably a math or science teacher, they tend to take a summer course and teach those web classes
