I have Counter Strike: CZ
and i also have Xandros Linux with CrossOver
and i was hoping i could get CS:CZ installed on it, so i put in CD1 and it starts installing just fine, then up comes the "please insert CD 2" and so, i put in CD 2 and hit OKAY, and it says that the drive doesnt exist or something...i tried having it check every letter drive (a-z) to see if that would work...nothing. anyone have any suggestions?

does linux have the technology to run CS? Have never used CS myself so I would have no idea.

i've read about people getting HL2 and CS:Source working in linux with another program (but it also runs on WINE) and so i wanted to try this one first because it comes preinstalled and ready for your use when you install Xandros

I never tried that version of CS on Linux, but I got the first one working. I installed it in windows and ran the already installed game from linux.
Does Crossover automaticly mount the CDROM? You could try putting in CD2, pressing Alt+tab, opening up a console window and mounting the CD drive manualy. There's probably an easier way, but that'd vary according to the distro.

why? if you're going to have windows on the machine, why not use it?

i'd try that, but the fans decided to all stop working (CPU fans, and any other fans plugged into the actual board) and it decided to overheat, and aparently it restarted rather than turning off, and it froze and just sat there, probably for hours, until i got home, and turned it off
so i'm letting it cool before i figure out what's wrong...

Have you tried unmounting the drive then inserting disc 2 (then possibly mounting the drive)?

fans still dont work, so i'm going to have to plug them right into the PSU and see if that happens to work, but any fan plugged into the motherboard wont work...
