Pirates of Port Royale

Game Info:

This is a free RPG based on the time and setting of the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean". You will play as a character in the early 1600's in the area of the Carribean. The game will be a free, do-whatever-you-want, game, much like Morrowind. We are aiming for high interaction between the environment and players as well as a overall realistic game.

Hmm... I want to help, but I don't think I'm quite good enough at any of those yet to work on a project like this, and I'm also in the middle of making three games. When I'm finished if there are still free positions, I may join, and I'll certanly by then be good enough to trust my work to a project of this magnitude. Until then I'll keep my eye on this... It's quite a similar idea to a game I really want to make down the line.

I'll definitely join your forums, though.

EDIT: I joined.

Love the new thread, tidier and shows more on the front page cool,

I said the quitting will be temporary, but...I've started sixth form, and the subjects I've chosen are time consuming (Psychology, RE Ethics/Philosophy, English Language and English Literature, plus the manditory 1 lesson a week subject of ICT to 'keep my ICT skills active' as if I don't sit on the computer enough)
so this will last two years, then an extra few years for uni, so, by the time I will be free the project will be finished, you will be better off without me, sorry for the disapointment, really, I hate letting people down

[Edit] Did I give you my Ship model in the end?

maybe you can adjust the UV of the textures a bit. The floor and such are all a bit 'stretched out'...

@Aura: Thanks.
@Gogeta: Thanks, but we're not professionals , and i think gameplay is 90%, graphics is just 10% .
@Sven B: Yeah, but then it looks wierd because you can tell where one pattern ends and the other starts, and it looks like a bunch of blocks.
@ThomasFN: Cool, thanks .
@FXGAMER: Yes, sorry, i forgot to reply.

k, new website which is a ton cooler! . http://www.popr.gwgaming.net/another/index.php?page=0 (Link may soon change)
EDIT: BTW, I'm trying to work on getting some more things up on the forums, right now theres about 30 team topics, and over 100 posts and only about 3 non-team topics. I'm working on getting more things for everyone as well as advantages, such as only being able to download things when your a forum member.

Sunflare looks nice. You have been posting screenshots of this for a while now, how bout a demo?

your site says:
Quote: "First Demo release: coming summer 2005."

summer is almost over, it it almost out?

also:
Quote: "Features: 5 professions, 3 ships, 3 guns, some AI,
two types of Horses, 7 types of people,
weather, storms, and some actions."

I don't see swords in that list, it isnt a pirate game without swords!

@Blazer: Sorry, we're still working on getting something "playable", by putting the engines into action. There will be swords dont worry. And sorry, the demo release date is no longer existent, the website has been revised . I'm HOPING and not in any way PROMISING to have something playable within a month. But that doesnt mean thats when the demo will come out.
