I have been trying to load wavs into my General Music WK4 keyboard. It does not accept wavs. It does not accept any file that I have tried so far..(About 12 different extensions.)

I have looked on the net for information, but it does not seem to be available, apart from a site that says that it is possible to load a sound if you use the WK4's operating system. (How do I do that?)

So basically, I want to be able to play new sounds on my keyboard without buying the discs that are available from General Music.

Does anyone know a converter to convert a sound to the correct format?

Not that I know that keyboard in particular, but from my experience, are you sure you can use your own samples by default? Ie. does it probably need an optional kit for that, or RAM modules or something? Perhaps the user's manual can help there.

Er. There's two possibilties.

a) Try RTFM
b) maybe you're not supposed to do what you're trying to

I pursued my idea for a few hours, and I found the WK4 operating system exe which converts a Floppy to WK4 format. Which is halfway there. Then I was really lucky to find that I could download free sounds, and practically a completely new keyboard. I now have new sounds, songs, riffs. I even have a new operating system, and new editing features. It's a bit like having a new £1000 keyboard for free. Having been stuck with the same sounds, and riffs for 10 years, I am delighted!!!
