im referring to some of the guys in here (you know who you are) who have made their own logos that look professional. Arkheii is one of em, but I cant locate him and ask him so Im gonna make a call here. Anyone got any tips? I use the Gimp (still new at it).

See for my first DB game I want to make the title look nice:
e.g the Gamecreators- the title at the top of this very page.
Know what I mean?

Comics and Games-Bread and Butter.

Just nick their logo, its at the top LOL

To make a sig look more professional, I use Photoshop, because their are many extra features you can do, to take your siggy to the next step.

I would recommend either photoshop or fireworks.

Don't go filter crazy, unless you're experimenting. But as much as possible, try to achieve the end result that you already have in your head.

Most Logo's are Fonts with filters added. Photoshop could make a GameCreators logo in just a few clicks of the mouse.

Macromedia FireworksMx..

:edit:
I'm not saying for you to use the same tool I use..
I just think the people can't ask for a good tool
that creates great logos.. and.. some weeks later,
come back asking for a tool that creates great buttons
for menus..
Well.. you know it is not good to install 2 tools
for the same thing: image editors, in example..
:edit:

But you can create great things with Gimp.. I used it already..
it is pretty good..
You need a creative visual only

good luck..

My logo is not thaat cool yet, but it is original..

TGC's logo is really simple.. But original.. looks clean and professional..
