Here comes my problem once again, I'd like to thank Hawkeye for his trouble last time.

Midi synthesiser....two words, so bloody ambiguous, this time, hopefully I can explain myself better, as I now have resources to help me.

What I mean by this, is something you can download for free to make your .mid's sound nicer, this is a driver in which your midi songs play off of.

Windows XP comes automatically installed with this one

Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth

and back when I had FFVII, I had a yamaha one on the disk, but no longer own FFVII and was on me old broken PC, since I never caught the name of it, I'm stuck (ever tried searching for a Yamaha sythesiser, in as precise as you can, you still get the stuff you get in studios)

Reason for looking for one, because Microsoft GS sounds rubbish compared to the Yamaha one, and I miss it, so if anyone can tell where one is (or look on their FFVII cd rom and go ahhh the yamaha one is...) I'd be grateful and if is exactly what I need, theres a gmail invite in it for ye's as long as you give me ur email (if not displayed)

Lol, you do know gmail is now free for anybody in north america?

Anyway, didn't have much luck last time... haven't improved much this time, at least I know what you're talking about but I haven't seen what you're looking for anywhere out there

Are you after the Yamaha XG MIDI player that came out ages ago?

If so, I'm sure I've got that somewhere on an old CD.

Let me know if it is and I'll try and dig it out for you...

[Edit] Just found what I was talking about - Yamaha Soft Synthesizer S-YG20. That it?

No, the link was not broken - just my brain!

I FTP'd the file to my web site and sent you the link to it by pasting the filename into the e-mail from Windows Explorer.

Unfortunately, the filename was in capital letters and I forgot that the ftp program automatically converts all characters to lower case when you upload to a unix-based server.

And, as we all know, unix-based servers are normally case-sensitive, so it just said the file wasn't there when it was...

Doh!
