Hey does anybody know how long it takes for the server to e-mail my activation code? I'm trying to upgrade to 5.8 but I'm not getting anything in my inbox.

make sure your real email that activated your account is the one your checking.
there might be a server load issue at high peak times or the mail server is set to send emails at an interval of ten minutes or so.

this is all speculation as only rich could effectively answer the question.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

They might also check these manually to prevent piracy. If you submit the activation after their working hours it might wait until the next business day. I noticed they mention this a lot in their replies to questions like this one.

Make sure it hasn't been dealt with by a junk filter, or that your e-mail address isn't on a spam list.
