A guy just got pulled over in front of my house for a head light being out and driving a little wierd. after checking his info the cops ask for profe of inseranse. You gest it he didn't have any. He used the old "This is my friends car." line. They pulled him out of the car and made him walk the white line and use the breathilizer. He passed with flying colors "red and blue flashing colors that is lol"well it tured out the licence plate was expiered also and to make it better the plate didn't belong to his friends car it belonged to a dodge pickup. finally he got a sitation to show up at court on Oct 8th. they took his plate of and let him go.

what do you think they sould have do?

you see, its USA, the rich/powerful get away with anything, but I would think 12 weeks in Jail is reasonable, and lose his job as a cop, assuming that he is one and isn't a impersonator, if he is then...'Impersonating a Cop is against the Law, Drink Drving is against the law, Stealing unregistered Police cars is against the law...and they let him go...and people wonder why no one has faith in the US legal system, here in the UK, well he wouldn't get a 'boys will be boys' sort of thing

you obviously don't live on the wrong side of town

Interesting things that have happened, 'to us'...(and we live on the right side of the wrong side lol )

-Drive by shooting at the house next to us (hehe, but it was nothing really, they just shot into the air, instead of in to the house, like they did when we lived in Las Cruces)
-Dude got shot on the corner of our block (yes, shot dead )
-4 squad cars cornered a guy at the other side of the block and used their bullhorns and hid behind their flimsy cars lol

and that's just what has happened that we can see from inside of our house

@peter
you must live in brooklyn too!

but in any matter, i think the rising price of gas will result in less drive by's and more bicycle by's, yes BICYCLE by. it happened here last year. i live in freeport now, but some people from my old neighborhood are right here playing with guns again....

I remember a few years ago I was driving home and ended up following a fire engine. I joked to my girlfriend and said that perhaps he was heading toward my apartment building. Five minutes later I can't access my apartment building as there's three fire trucks surrounding it--- because it was on fire.

Ohhh, those were the days. Good times.
