For all you FF7 fans out there, it may please you to know that the new movie is finally out...after like five years or something. I've seen it, it wasn't english, but I think I got most of it (i made general assumtions by looking at the pictures). Truly inspiring stuff by S.E.
Here's what happened (or what I understood of it):
(this is one BIG spoiler, so read at your own risk)
Two years after the battle with sephiroth, a new threat has struck the planet - geostigma.
A disease that is supposedly killing lots of people.
This is caused by jenova cells polluting the lifestream (I think).
Sephiroth spawned himself (his spirit) into three silver head young guys: Loz, Yazoo, and their leader Kadaj.
They are trying to "reunite" (yes - another reunion) themselves with jenova (or it's head at least), in order to bring back their leader (guess who).
Rufus is now one of the good guys (he somehow survived the blast from weapon), and so are the turks (to some extent).
Rufus has seen his faults, and now wants to protect the planet. And just to point out, he and cloud are both infected with geostigma.
Anyway, the three jenova-seeking guys take away a group of children making them belive they wil be cured from the disease.
Instead he turns them evil (brainwashes them and stuff).
Anyways, cloud tries to save them (marlene is with them), he fails first time.
Then, kadaj believing the head of jenova is buried under the center of midgar, brings the kids there, and tries to get it. He summons a giant monster (Bahamut-sin, or something like that), and it attacks the people in the city.
At that point Kadaj is with Rufus, and Rufus decides to show him that he has the head so innocent people dont die - he throws it out the window, and jumps after it, kadaj follows.
Rufus shoots the box with jenova (jenova fits in a box, unlike in the games where its like 20 meters tall :P ).
Anyway, Kadaj retrieves the broken box, and runs off, cloud follows.
Kadaj and cloud fight, cloud eventually gains the upper hand, making kadaj decide to kill himself or something (he jumps off a tall building). The contents of the mushed-up jenova head spill onto Kadaj.
He transforms into a new sephiroth.......
half a minuter later - sephiroth is dead...again.
