I'm attempting a small 2D tank game (top-down perspective, of course) and wanted to do the graphics by drawing lines to create the shapes, terrain, etc.

However, I really don't know how to do this. Any help (along with player control help) would be appreciated!

(BTW, I'm slightly new, but do have a pretty good grasp of things.)

Does it have to be 2D??

Personaly i would make everything with 3d modles and would set them to wireframe.
If the Cam dont change the Y-Position it will still somehow look like 2d (not exactly).

Doing a sidescroller (shooter) this way.

ok if take some grid paper u could design the lines and shapes to form a tank of sorts.

after this process has made the graphics u could use the get image command and finally make them a sprite, if thats the method u want to use.
