Yaaaay! most of the thread we talked about how to get around restrictions (not hacking). It all started with the save, and went to other stuff. Yaaay!

Was that for me? If it was, that's been talked about, like 50 messages ago!
50+ messages - I think I'll drink to that (just don't tell my parents lol)

>>>>>>>At school today, my teacher almost got mad because we're making business cards and I was making it, just taking more time on the interent than I should've.

if we couldn't download things, we'd only have several hundred other ways to get in trouble on comps at school. Think before you post, duh!

If we got rid of teachers, there wouldn't be anyone there to get us in trouble. Except the principles and others. That would take longer though because there aren't a whole lot of them as there are teachers. Therefore, what ever we do on the computer, we wouldn't get in trouble for. Of course. THere is the police and governments to worry about.

Aha! I've got it. Instead of getting rid of teachers, then principals, then gov oficials, then the CIA, then the Attack of the Show cast.... we could just get rid of everyone! yay!

However, without the teachers there wouldn't be a computer lab. We should have a device that hypnotises the teachers or makes them ignorant so they have no idea what's going on. Without everyone else.........there wouldn't be anything!

At my school, it is harder to get caught because all of the students have "lockers" or places to save all of their settings to, so you can change your background on one computer and all computers you go on while logging in with your name have the same one! So all the programs I downloaded are still there! Which may not be such a good thing

Thanks. So I take it no one has finished it yet? lol

Sorry I haven't posted in while, I had Speech and Debate and Marching Band. We had to perform on the field for Marching Band because it was Senior night. Then I went to bed at 1, woke up at 4:00AM to go on a bus to a Speech and Debate meet. And wouldn't you have guessed it I'm doing speech about Violence in Video Games - I have to memorize it too.
Well, I'm back now, yay. In two-weeks I have to do it all over again. For now, I'm making a new game - Kewt N' Kuber - A stradegy type game mixed with a platformer. Yay

So yeah.............so, tell me when you guys finish SBTII lol

Yes...yes we did

I say that the violence in the games does NOT persuade players to carry out what is happening in video games, at least, not to normal and un-sick and undimented people.

The people that carry out the violence, like killing police officers and things found in GTA, had to
Quote: "have come from live practicing. The difference between a live handgun and a game controller is simple. You do not have an aiming crosshair directly on the screen, or an analog joystick to aim in realilty."

^^^That explains the accuracy a teenager had with a live handgun after killing police officers (quoted from my speech)

As always, comments about SBTII are welcome, and escpecially the notification of the game finally being completed lol

Dang I suck. I guess it's hard to get playing SBTII time in since I am making my own creations, getting homework in, and updating a website everyday. I just need more practice.

Oh man, tell me about it! I have lots of stuff to get done! Website updating (8 different ones ), my new game, e-mail, school work, school (in general), and eating

So, yeah, I should run a incentive deal for the first person who beats the game

For a basic encryption on the money you could...

Leave the first number as your money like you have it
Then save another 10 variables with random amounts at the end
Then save another variable that's equal to your money plus a given amount
Then save one more variable that stores how much you added to that vmoney var to get the new var
Finally make sure that the new money variable (the one thats equal to money + something) isn't saved right at the last line but somewhere inbetween the 10 random variables

Now you can just do a check to see if money>newmoney-amount, where money is your actual money, newmoney is the money+something variable, and amount is the amount you added to money to get newmoney. If it doesnt equal it then make it equal it and display something like "STOP CHEATING!"

Basically you could still change the money but it'd take a lot longer through trial and error. The more random lines you save at the end and the more you manipulate the newmoney code (multiplying, diving, etc) the harder it willl be to decrypt.

Just an idea, I used it for one of my programs a while ago to stop people from hacking into it with artmoney.

He knows how to change the save information. So, when the new release comes out, he is ready to change all the information.

Well, I won't use exactly what you said to use, RUCCUS, or, then lots of people would know how to hack it I'll do something along those lines, possibly creating my own code, like saving it in binary code, then it translates to random numbers, but, these random numbers mean certain things. Although, I just told you what I am going to do, but, you'd still have to "crack" the code.

No, I'll incorporate it so you can use previous versions - but, when you load the game, it will automatically convert your save game to the new version.

Quote: "and whats ur next game gonna be"

Well, the next game is entitled Kewt N' Kuber and, I'm hopefully expecting it to be completed at the latest in December.

^^It's looking awesome - so, check the WIP board (don't want to double post - that would be bad ) Found from here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=63183&b=8

I think the Kewt N' Kuber game is looking way better and is more fun to play than SBTII. When I release the "beta" version, I'll let you guys decide (as I said on the KnK forum, you can test it FIRST vgames master!---I'll just e-mail you the link sometime this week)

OK! I've almost got the SBTII patch done - seriously this time, and should be on the interent hopefully in November

Yeah....I finished this game a while ago and have learned a lot since then. My new game, Kewt N' Kuber, looks way better. Although, if I make a SBTIII, it'll be way better

P.S. This thread was dead for a while now.....it was 3-4 pages back!

Wow, some one was bored. Cool, and SBTIII sounds cool. Though, I found why I sucked at your game, I'm not meant to play shooting games. Seriously, I can't even play them on consoles. Now, lets just let this thread die in peace.

And can you do better yourself? Not all of us are texture artists you know...

What Rhett provided here was a wonderfully playable deathmatch experience, and I've yet to see any sort of programs come from you. If you think you can do better, do so. Don't criticise other people's games until then!

AND stop reviving dead threads, PLEASE.
