Yes I have it and I am about a third of the way through. It is very good for a complete noob, but I think even someone a little more advanced will find it useful. It contains lots of graphics and sound info, even how to use force feedback!

It's been good for me to find out why you have to do some of those weird things like SET TEXT TRANSPARENT.

It is written in a easy to read, quite humorous style. It also comes with a cd that has a .pdf file with all the commands in the language and their syntax - very useful.

I would recommend it for a newcomer like me.

It's never as easy as it looks!

Woah. Didn't here of this one. Very intresting..I would buy it, but im having problems with my conscience about Dark Basic. Alot of people I know say its too "drag and drop"-like..Which I know its not, but it is a big cheat from C++.

I've got it on order from amazon, i'm a complete newbie, and i heard this book would be very useful to get started.

However, i orded it on first class on Sunday and the estimated arrival date is "24th Feb - March 5th".

I'd love to order one, but without a working install of even the DBPro eval, it would seem a little pointless...
