Hi. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck importing an FPSC model into Truespace w/ GamePak or GameSpace. I can't get any models to load in properly. Or at all really, I just get an error. Is there something special I have to do?

Thanks,
Keith

Hello ... i have Gamespace and it can import *.x
probably you get a error when try to import a character.x file
i think the problem is the animation in this file because is very long
whitout the animation Gamespace import the mesh (see the image)
if you want import the file correctly you need to use "fragMOTION"

strange. my gameSpace light works with FPSC models. Wait, are you trying to open DBO files? If yes, take the X files. TrueSpace w/ Gamepak work too.

@Skalex
Are you saying that GS light can import the Aiko.x model with animation?
I have GS 1.6 and it will not import any of the character models at all.
I have been recommending FragMotion on these forums because it can open them.
I think the problem with GS .x is that it has a problem with bones,when I save a model with bones it converts the model to vertex animation.

So which is it, does it work or not?

Skalex, if you can load the FPSC character models, please give me an example of one that works and the settings you use in the .X dialog. I would love to be able use TrueSpace/GamePak. If it still doesn't work, I assume I have a problem.

Thanks,
Keith

ChrisB, yes, in TrueSpace/GameSpace it can load objects with animations, except boned animations. The boned animations can be loaded from TrueSpace/GameSpace scenes and .cob (caligari object)
