This is a preview of the official PlayBasic WinGUI library. It's similar to BlueGUI but... well, for PlayBasic. It's still a long way to go, but I thought I might start the hype right now.

its looking good. Im not using playbasic but, keep up! will check back later for more news.

I like it.. Im making some GUI crap ATM, but I don't use images.. I cant seem to get a hold ot using images.. They're limited, and you need to make arrays and stuff.. I just make it using boxes and lines and stuff

No new screens but the first version will have the following Gadgets;

Those are pretty much in. They just need Event handling and stuff.

Later we will add these:

All gadgets can have a tooltip (tool tips can be globally switched on and off) that is displayed in a tooltip window, and optionally in a statusbar as well. Gadgets can be aligned (top, bottom, left, right, client) and remain their alignment if the parent form is resized.

not worth it, dont get me wrong play basic is pretty good but if you want a really good gui for darkbasic go with Blue GUI. its really good. although this looks really sweet it still has a ways to go

MDI support is in- not for the PlayBasic window itself, but you can create other forms and add an MDI client frame to them and then several MDI children to the frame. MDI menu merging is something we'll probably add later.

If all goes well (and why should it ) it'll be released in a week.

What's not worth it? PlayBasic beats the pants off of every other BASIC language in 2D performance.

Haha now that i got payed i might buy playbasic for my 2d needs and use DBP for my 3d ones =)

I get paid every 2 weeks and on my next paycheck i will clock 110+ hours =\ so i'll have a decent 600-700$ after taxes and overtime hehehe.
