hey all, i just reformatted my pc, and now my keyboard's gone all wonky, its kinda like how the keyboards are in the us, e.g. the # is ontop of the 3, when it used to be under the ~, which is now.. well i cant find it.. and the @ is ontop of the 2 when itused to be ontop of the ', how do i fix this?

You need to set up your keyboard locallity (e.g. english, american, french etc). They vary. It should be in Control Panel > Keyboard. (I cant really help any more due to being in linux )

no, US rocks, just this isnt the US, and my keyboard seems to be living in another world

Well it should do -_- you have to set the locallity settings elsewhere too, also in control panel. It really should have asked you for all the info during the installation, it does for me :\

If you have windows XP look for the language bar and change it to whatever you need. UK for me.

The language bar should be off by default, I hate it myself.

It took me FOREVER to figure out how to get rid of it, at first i just right clicked the task bar and turned it off there, but it would always come back after i restart or log back in...ugh

go to control panel, regional and language options, languages tab, click options, then change the keyboard at the bottom, it will currently be on US, just select one that uses English and you will be ok



we know where area 51 is, but where are areas 1 to 50?, and what do they do there?.

wait, there s a little button that says EN on it, i changed it to UK and now it works thanks
