Hi there!
I have my DarkBasic discs sleeping in a huge tower of CD's & I know that I will not use it because I have DBPro..
So, if there's someone that would have it (for free) you can contact me by e-mail.
I just ask the shipping fees (that depends from country to country).. & that's all.

Naturally... the first person that will ask it will receive it...
Hope this would make a Happy guy...

I don't know though, it sounds fishy because I don't know if it's legal or not. I already have DBC but I want any extra copy for another computer.

Good question... but I started Kalimée with the trial version of DarkBasic...

Was funny because I get the trial & begann to code, I found the full copy in a store some days later & get it, but I finally decided to get the Pro version & ordered it... So, the DB classic is still in the box...

But the manual has been lost during my move. So, it's only the program without the manual.

if it is the original disks then I dont know why he cant give it away, go into any games store and they sell traded in software legaly, giving it away shouldn`t be an issue if you can trade it in at GAME.

@MasterProgrammer: it`s been said before on these forums by TGM, you can install copies on other machines you work on, the licence is per user, not per machine, so you can install DB on your laptop, second desktop or whatever, I do this, I don`t want to be seperated from DB just cos I decide to sit in the garden or something.

we know where area 51 is, but where are areas 1 to 50?, and what do they do there?.

so if im going to install my copy of dbpro on my grandparents computer, may i do that? i mean, come on, how many of you have a granfather or grandmother who's doing programming?! and it would still be installed under my name, so its still one user, just in another country. so yeah, i guess im allowed to do that(?) not that i have done it though, but when i am there, i miss my own computer and i want to use db

and yeah, i would trade it in for a game instead of giving it off free.

You can install Darkbasic on any computer YOU own. Since you said it's your grandparents computer then no... you can't.

Who beat you to it? Did I? I'd still like to have it. Even if it's per user, I'm starting a computer club at my High School and I want to make sure that I haver permission (probably should ask for the free DB for schools, though). And, I'd like another copy anyhow.

Sorry, I guess I didn't read that I just assumed it was like that because most software is like that.

hey vues3d this sounds like a great deal.
I emailed you and I also had a couple questions:
[x] what version of dark basic do you own?
1.06, 1.11, or 1.13 being the primary ones I would be interested in.

[x] do you own dark matter?
I have been trying to find any one who wants to sell a copy of their boxed version or just any one who basically has the upgrade + copies of the four dark matter demos; I don't even care if it has the dark matter models or not since I don't really need them.

[x] what can I trade you?
I have autocad 2004/2005, maya 7, 3dsmax 7, pcdj red, pcdj fx, photoshop cs2, illustrator cs2, paint shop pro 9, and the latest version of the nero suite and the macromedia suites.. now I know that seems a bit extensive just for a copy of dbc (lol!) but to me dbc is worth just that much.

o and if anyone wants to sell me darkmatter + the four demos (I don't even need the models (just the upgrade and the four demos)) then contact me! I will give you a good deal. I can't find just that on the site so I am desperate for these two items. thanks!
