Newcomers DBPro Corner / loading fonts

i am using DBPro, i am having trouble using a font.

whenever i load it using the \\\"SET TEXT FONT\\\" command, the font stays the same.

i am trying to load the \\\"CHIlLER\\\" font for my horror game, please help.

usually it is only if the user's computer has the chi|ler font. but also make sure that it is exactly chi|ler not chi/ler or chi\ler or even chi¦ler.

although they are the same on the key board, | and ¦ are different.



PS: ¦ is made by holding [Alt] and pressing 0166

Are you by any chance using the font filename instead of the font name? You also have to type the name correctly for it to work.

If you go to your Fonts folder in control panel, you will see then name to use - For example:

Set Text Font "Arial"

not

Set Text Font "Arial.ttf"

Also, don't forget that changing fonts ONLY works with the TEXT command - NOT the Print command!
